EACH Swim Event
Phil Cory finally completed the much‑anticipated Charity Swim for St Elizabeth Hospice on Sunday 15th February 2026—several weeks later than planned, thanks to Christmas Day being cancelled by Mother Nature and her “festive” heavy seas.
Despite the delay, the event made quite a splash (literally), with brave swimmers hurling themselves into water temperatures normally reserved for penguins. Miraculously, everyone survived, spirits remained high, and an impressive £42,000.00 was raised—proof that cold water and good causes are a surprisingly effective combination.

Port of Felixstowe Sale.
The proposed sale of Hutchinson’s international port operations — including the Port of Felixstowe — has reached a stalemate, according to recent press reports. The deal, involving a consortium led by BlackRock and MSC’s Terminal Investment Limited, has reportedly been hindered by China’s insistence that its state-owned shipping company, COSCO, hold a majority stake. BlackRock and MSC are said to have rejected this demand, preventing further progress.

Suez Canal Latest

Suez Canal revenue drops by almost half due to Red Sea crisis. As of February 2026, the Suez Canal is experiencing a tentative and cautious return of container traffic, with major lines like Maersk and CMA CGM resuming some services. However, this normalization is threatened by renewed security risks in the Red Sea, causing some companies to reconsider, with some carriers recently opting to reroute again, resulting in continued high freight volatility.
